Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all orders placed with barstools.co.uk, via the Internet or over the telephone.

1.1   The Seller (we / us / our) is barstools.co.uk

2.1   The Buyer (you / your) is the person placing an order of a product displayed on our website, www.barstools.co.uk.

2.2   It is the Buyer’s responsibility to provide correct information during the order process.

  2. 3.     Product and Product Description

3.1   The Product is the product displayed on www.barstools.co.uk.

3.2   The Product Description, including available colours, dimensions and availability of the product can be found on the products page.

3.3   We do not guarantee a colour match on any of our products.

3.4   Our products are for use in the home.

  2. 4.     Orders

4.1   You may place an order with us for any product displayed on our website either via the Internet, or over the telephone. In cases where an order is placed in person at our office, your order will still be placed via the Internet.

4.2   An order is confirmed once full payment has been made. Until full payment is made and the full payment has reached us, you do not have an order with us.

4.3   Your decision to place an order with us via the Internet or over the telephone shall be deemed to be conclusive evidence that you have accepted these terms and conditions, are fully aware of the details of the Product and Product Description and agree to the order total price.

4.4   Orders are subject to product availability. If you have placed an order with us for a product that we are unable to supply, we will offer to refund your payment in full. In some cases, we may ask you if you would like to purchase an alternative product instead, in which case the order will be amended.

4.5   Order Confirmation is sent to you by email, providing you have provided your correct email address. Please check your order confirmation and contact us straight away if there are any discrepancies.

4.6   Orders can only be delivered to a UK address. Orders placed on our website for delivery to an address outside of the UK will not be fulfilled.

  2. 5.     Payment

5.1   Payment is taken during the checkout stages of your order being placed.

5.2   Until full payment is made and the full payment has reached us, you do not have an order with us.

5.3   Payment is made via a PayPal terminal. PayPal allows payment debit or credit card or use your PayPal account if you have one.

5.4   In some cases, we can accept payment by Bank Transfer or Cheque, but only if this has been agreed prior to the order being placed.

5.5   To make payment for your order, you will be re-directed to a secure payment page on PayPal. No payment details are entered on the barstools.co.uk website.

5.6   Payments made via PayPal may sometimes be delayed. Reasons for delay can include; payment sent as an e-cheque, the payment is being reviewed by PayPal. We have no control over this, and whilst we will do our best to advise you, you may be referred to PayPal.

6.1   The Price of a product is shown within the product page.

6.2   The Price shown within the product page is for one item.

6.3   The Price shown is in GBP (£) and is inclusive of VAT.

6.4   Your Order total Price will be shown in the shopping cart before any payment is made.

6.5   Pricing errors may occur occasionally. We will not fulfil an order if there is a pricing error.

6.6   The Total Price for your order must be paid at sale, prior to delivery arrangements being made.

6.7   We reserve the right to amend our prices at any time without notice.

  2. 7.     Delivery

7.1   We use a courier who offers a range of delivery services, which are listed and described on the Delivery Information page.

7.2   The delivery services listed and described on the Delivery Information page are not available to all of the UK. If a premium delivery service is selected, the price for the service you have selected will be included in the order total and included in the payment total. If the delivery of your order is arranged and it is found that the service you have selected is not available to your delivery address, we will refund the price you paid for the delivery service.

7.3   We reserve the right to amend, remove or add to the delivery services available at any time without notice.

7.4   Our courier will only deliver to a UK address. Our courier does not deliver to any addresses outside of the UK.

7.5   Our courier does not deliver to the Channel Islands or Southern Ireland.

7.6   We will arrange for our courier to deliver the goods to the address you have specified on your order. It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery address is accurate and correct.

7.7   You may provide us with instructions regarding the delivery of your order, which we will pass on to the courier. We cannot guarantee that the courier will act upon these instructions. We will not accept any liability for any loss or damage to the goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions.

7.8   Delivery is an all-day appointment.

7.9   Delivery is made on a working day, which is Monday to Friday. Therefore not including weekends or Bank Holidays.

7.10The courier will aim to deliver the goods by the date quoted for delivery but this is not guaranteed.

7.11If you have selected a premium delivery service, the courier will aim to deliver the goods as per the delivery service you have selected, but this is not guaranteed.

7.12A responsible person should be at the property to accept the delivery. Once the delivery has been signed for, the signature will be deemed as proof that the delivery has been received by you, regardless of the signatory name. If nobody is available to accept the delivery, an attempted delivery card will be left.

7.13If the delivery is attempted at the delivery/shipping address specified on your order by you, and results in the courier sending the goods back to our warehouse, you will incur the costs of arranging another delivery if you request for us to do this.

7.14You will have sole Ownership of the Goods on your order once your order has been signed as delivered.

  2. 8.     Cancellation – Distance Selling Regulations

8.1   In line with the Distance Selling Regulations, if you have changed your mind, you are entitled to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt of your order (If you have a faulty or damaged product, please see clause 9, Returns – Faulty or Damaged Items).

8.2   You must contact the customer service team either by email or telephone (not including voicemails left) as soon as possible to advise your intent to cancel your order.

8.3   We will arrange for our courier to collect your order from you on a working day. The collection day will be agreed with you prior to the collection being booked with the courier. As you have sole ownership of the goods, it is your responsibility to ensure that the goods are available to collect from you on the agreed day. If the courier attempts to collect the goods from you, but fails to remove the goods from your possession due to your negligence (you are out, the goods are not packaged etc.) will result in you incurring the costs involved in the failed collection and any future collections booked.

8.4   When your order arrives back with us, we will process the refund of your order. The total price refunded to you will be less return costs, which is charged at £10 per item.

8.5   We will only accept the return of items that have not been used or assembled. The items that you send back to us must be in the original packaging and in a perfect, re-saleable condition. Items returned back to us by you in any condition other than stated in these Cancellation terms and conditions will not be accepted, and no refund will be given.

  2. 9.     Returns – Faulty or Damaged Items

9.1   Faults or Damage to your order must be reported within 48 hours of delivery either by email or telephone (not including voicemails left).

9.2   We may ask you to supply photographs to better understand your complaint, and to offer the best possible resolution to your complaint. We ask for photographs to be emailed to us. It is your responsibility to get these photographs to us, and whilst we will try to help, we do not hold knowledge of how every camera works.

9.3   If your complaint is a manufacturing defect, we will offer fair options to you (in line with what is expected of us under the Sales of Goods Act) in order to resolve the matter.

9.4   We will not be held liable for any product becoming damaged by way of fair wear and tear or customer misuse. We will not be held liable for any plastic or acrylic products cracking or splitting. Nor will we be held liable for any splits or tears to leather and faux leather products. We will replace any gas pole mechanism which proves to be faulty, within the first 12 months of delivery.

9.5   We do not accept liability for any product used in a commercial environment.
